The City of Pocatello
is a Safe Place.
Where kids get help fast. Sponsored by the Bannock County Youth Foundation.

Every year city departments are required to present a performance report to the Mayor, City Council and citizen stakeholders (Service Level Report). Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the departments discuss their mission, financial inputs, workload outputs, measures of efficiency & effectiveness (including comparisons to other cities & industry norms), results and their issues and concerns for the future.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION

All Pocatello residents are encouraged to participate in the Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHW) program. The events are held at the Bannock County Landfill, 1500 North Fort Hall Mine Rd., on a regular basis. The HHW program gives residents a means to properly dispose of their unwanted oil, paint, pesticides, herbicides, etc.

We will accept up to five gallons each of household wastes, such as:

Auto & Household Batteries

Paints
Waste Auto Fluids
Cleaners
Gas/Oil
Pesticides/Herbicides
Fluorescent Tubes
Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs

We will NOT accept: commercial waste, leaking containers, mixed waste, AG chemicals, explosives, and unlabeled waste.

If everyone participates in this effort, we can have a positive effect on our environment and protect it for many years to come.
