Every year city departments are required to present a performance report to the Mayor, City Council and citizen stakeholders (Service Level Report). Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the departments discuss their mission, financial inputs, workload outputs, measures of efficiency & effectiveness (including comparisons to other cities & industry norms), results and their issues and concerns for the future.


FINANCE DEPARTMENT MISSION


The City of Pocatello Finance Department is lead by the City's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is responsible for planning, administering, and managing the City's budget and overseeing all financial activities of the City. The CFO works closely with the Mayor, City Council and department heads to keep taxes and fees low and consistent with service levels determined by the City Council. The Finance Department oversees three internal divisions: the Treasurer's Office, Controller, and Utility Billing division.

FY2010 Proposed Year-End Amendments. This document provides detailed information on the proposed FY2010 end of year budget amendments for the City of Pocatello. A public hearing on the proposed budget amendments will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 911 North 7th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho 83201. The City Council is scheduled to subsequently consider an amendment to the FY2010 Budget Ordinance at the conclusion of the regular meeting of September 16, 2010.
