WASTEWATER COLLECTION

The City of Pocatello's wastewater collection system is composed of over 250 miles of pipeline, some of which were installed over 50 years ago, and 23 lift stations which transport the wastewater. Some lift stations handle a very large flow while others handle very small flows from localized areas. The collection system is cleaned and maintained by the use of high pressure cleaning and vacuuming equipment and close-circuit television to check the condition of the pipe.
