POCATELLO CITY COUNCILS HOLDS HEARING ON ZONING ORDINANCE
Hearing Set for August 7, 2008

At the Regular City Council Meeting on August 7, 2008, the Pocatello City Council will hold a public hearing to accept comments concerning the proposed adoption of a new Zoning Ordinance (Title 17) and associated map, including zoning district boundary changes, for the City of Pocatello . The Council's hearing may continue to subsequent dates as needed and announced at their meeting.

Following a public hearing opened April 23, and continued to May 14 and 28, 2008, the Pocatello Community Development Commission recommended approval of the draft ordinance with minor amendments and approval of the draft map, including amendment to proposed zoning district boundary changes.

The proposed ordinance and map are available for review in the Planning & Development Services Department at City Hall and on the City's website at www.pocatello.us (under the Planning menu). Copies of the draft ordinance are also available at the following locations:

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing to express their views regarding this proposal. Oral testimony may be offered at the meeting. Written testimony of less than two single-spaced, typewritten pages may be submitted up to the time of or at the hearing; other written testimony must be submitted to the Planning & Development Services Department no later than five days prior to the hearing.
