“Friends of the Animal Shelter’s Campaign” and “Learning About our Stormwater System”
are the topics of this month’s “CALLING CITY HALL”
Mayor Roger Chase invites citizens to join him this Tuesday, October 7, 2008 as he hosts his monthly call-in show “Calling City Hall.” The show will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is aired live on Government Access Television, Channel 11. The Mayor will be joined by his guests Eva Nye, Pocatello City Council member; members of the Friends of the Animal Shelter; and Hannah Sanger, the City’s Environmental Educator.
During the first half of the program, the Mayor and his guests will talk about the proposed “safe haven” building plans for a new animal shelter. They will discuss why our community needs a new animal shelter and how citizens can get involved in the effort to help our furry friends.
For the second half of the program, Hannah Sanger will join the Mayor and Council Member Nye. Ms. Sanger will educate the public about the City’s stormwater system, its importance to the environment, and how the public can help in its management.
“Calling City Hall” is shown live the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The program helps citizens learn more about city government and community issues, while providing an opportunity to call in with any questions, suggestions, or concerns they may have.
