ART FOR FOOD CELEBRATION RAISES RECORD AMOUNT
The
Art for Food, held last Thursday, October 9, 2008, raised a record amount for The Idaho Foodbank. Roy Lacey, Vice President of Operations for the Foodbank, estimates that over $6,000 was collected thanks to the generous donations made by attendees and supporters.
Art for Food is an annual event held in honor of the
“Mayor’s Awards for The Arts” recipients.
This year’s event recognized JD Adcox—Individual Award; Linda Wolfe—Individual
Award; Pocatello Rotary Club—Corporate Award; and Walrus & Carpenter Books—Corporate
Award. It was also the grand opening of
the new Foodbank warehouse at
